Sean Mannion wants another shot at a Civil War win.

Sean Mannion took a look back on last year’s Civil War after Tuesday’s practice.

Mannion led the Beavers on a late drive to take the lead, but Oregon came back with a TD drive to take a 36-35 win.

“It was right down to the wire. I think our team came out and put together a great effort, really in all phases. Everyone brought it that game,” Mannion said.

“I would say the emotions are mixed because of the way we fought and we took them right down to the wire. But at the same time we still lost and there’s disappointment with that.”

Mannion said the effort was important for the Beavers.

“I think I said it after the game, I remember saying it, that, ‘Even though we lost, everyone can feel good about the effor we put forth.’ And I think that’s what you try to focus on more than the final result.”
