Oregon State head coach Mike Riley said there's plenty of young players getting playing time for the Beavers.

After Monday’s practice, Mike Riley was asked about getting some of the younger players more time on the field with the season winding down.

Riley made the point that just about everyone on offense except Sean Mannion, Connor Hamlett and Terron Ward will be back next season.

The defense already rotates in quite a few young players.

“We don’t think too much about that,” Riley said. “There’s redshirts and there’s non-redshirts and the non-redshirts are doing something. They get to practice every day and grow, so the main concern is we can grow the team for the future by just growing it for this week.

“I think just continued coaching and teaching will help the young guys get better whether they’re playing in the games too much or not.”
