The Beavers end the regular season Saturday against Washington State in Pullman. Here's a look at the Cougars.

WSU (12-17, 4-13) won for the third time in its last five games Thursday with a 78-76 home victory against Oregon. Malachi Flynn had a big game for the Cougars with 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. Robert Franks added 19 points and five rebounds.

The recent 3-2 stretch came after the team lost seven straight. WSU started the season 6-0 but then lost 8 of 10.

Franks, a junior forward, leads the team averaging at 17.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the season. Flynn, a sophomore guard, is at 15.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Junior guard Vionte Daniels averages 9.3 points and 2.3 rebounds.

The Cougars have four players with at least 63 made 3-pointers, led by Flynn at 73. In Pac-12 games, WSU leads the conference in 3-pointers attempted and made.

For the season, the Cougars shoot 44.7 percent overall (10th in the Pac-12), 37.8 on 3-pointers (fourth) and 73.7 at the free-throw line (fifth). In Pac-12 games, those numbers are 44.4 (ninth), 36.7 (sixth) and 73.4 (sixth).

In conference games, Franks is sixth in scoring (17.5) and Flynn is third in steals (1.9) and ninth in scoring (15.8).

Oregon State handed Washington State its worse loss of the season, 94-62, on Feb. 8 in Corvallis.

The Beavers equaled their best shooting percent of the season (56.9, which these also shot Thursday at Washington).

Franks had 17 points and Carter Skaggs 11. Flynn was held to eight points on 2-of-6 shooting with five assists and five turnovers.

Oregon State had five players in double-digit scoring with Tres Tinkle (20) and Alfred Hollins (19) leading the way.

The Beavers have won seven of the last eight against the Cougars and hold a 171-124 advantage in the all-time series.
