Physician couple joins Urgent Care

Husband-and-wife duo Cary Bybee and Sara Bybee recently moved to the Northwest and are providing walk-in care to patients at Samaritan Urgent Care — Geary Street in Albany.

Sara Bybee earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Central Arkansas, a master’s degree from Plymouth State University and a medical degree from American University of Antigua. She completed residency training at Rapides Regional Medical Center and family medicine residency training at Louisiana State University — Shreveport.

She specializes in family medicine and urgent care.

Cary Bybee earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree from Walden University, a medical degree from International American University College of Medicine – St. Lucia and a doctoral degree in psychology from Walden University. He completed family medicine residency training at Louisiana State University — Shreveport.

Originally from Lebanon, Cary Bybee is glad to work in the same clinic as his wife.

Nurse practitioner to join care center

Courtney Feral will begin to provide services at The Corvallis Clinic’s Immediate Care Center early next month.

Prior to joining the clinic, Feral practiced at Appalachian Wellness in Campton, Kentucky; Ohio Valley Physicians in various Eastern Kentucky locations; and at United Clinics of Kentucky in Campton.

Feral was drawn to immediate care medicine because of the variety of skills needed.

Certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, Feral earned a Master of Science degree in nursing — family nurse practitioner in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2009 from the University of Cincinnati. She earned her initial bachelor’s degree in philosophy and environmental studies in 2001, but a desire to center her work on helping to ease suffering spurred her to become a nurse practitioner.

Insurance group acquires agency

Hanson Insurance Group of Corvallis recently announced that it has acquired and will merge KMI Insurance LLC of McMinnville into the Hanson Insurance Group name.

KMI Insurance is an independent agency with specialization in agriculture, agricultural products, manufacturing, logging and real estate. The purchase will keep the business local and expand the insurance carrier choices available to KMI’s current customers.

Kelly McDonald of KMI will continue to serve as an adviser to his clients.

Hanson Insurance Group has been locally owned and operated since 2009, and provides service to customers in 37 states. Hanson’s office manager, Maureen Sexton, won the National Customer Service Representative of the Year Award in 2012 from Professional Insurance Agents. Customer service agent Anita Hostetler won the Oregon Customer Service Representative of the Year Award for 2017 from Professional Insurance Agents.

Hanson represents dozens of financially superior-rated insurance companies who offer a range of insurance products and correlated services. The corporate office is located at 350 NW Elks Drive.

Broker joins real estate firm

RE/MAX Integrity recently announced that Tara Ewing Hicklen, licensed broker, has joined the firm’s Corvallis office at 2175 NW Professional Drive.

Hicklen is a native of the Willamette Valley; she was born and raised in Corvallis. She worked as a hair stylist for more than 15 years.
