The Round Table Pizza Clubhouse that opened in Corvallis in late December is a bit different from many of the company’s restaurants.

There’s a bar area with an extensive list of microbrews and wines, plenty of big screen televisions to watch sports, an arcade for the kids, a party room, and more than just pizza on the menu. Guests can also order hamburgers, chicken wings and other items.

Katie Kliewer, senior assistant manager, said the “Clubhouse” concept is new and an upbeat change for the company. “It has the college town feel,” she said.

But the focus remains on pizza with quality ingredients, including dough made from scratch every day. “I know a lot of places don’t make fresh dough,” Kliewer said.

The King Arthur Supreme remains the most popular type of pizza for Round Table. “It has everything on it. Everything. It’s stacked,” Kliewer said.

There are specials at the restaurant every day of the week, including Burger Monday, a family night on Tuesday featuring a buffet for kids, 60-cent wings on Wednesday, all day happy hour on Thursday and more.

The pizza joint’s happy hour specials include $3 craft brews and deals on food.

The popular lunch buffet runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and there are five different types of pizza available — and that includes a King Arthur Supreme and a vegetarian option.

And, like many pizza joints, Round Table does delivery and takeout.

What really sets the business apart, according to Kliewer, is the hospitality.

“We go above and beyond for our guests. We always want to make our guests happy,” she added.

Many residents have welcomed Round Table, as they were familiar with the chain from the Portland area or California, where most of the company’s restaurants are.

The Round Table Clubhouse in Corvallis, 1895 N.W. Ninth St., is open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
