40th annual Summit Summer Festival: Noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the field of the town's Community Center. Festive, colorful and all-ages outdoor festival is billed as a full day of old-time country fun, crafts, friendship, creativity and music in the small rural community of Summit. Summit is located 21 miles west of Corvallis, off Highway 20.
