Safety Town

Bryan Crocker of Philomath Fire & Rescue speaks to children during last year's Safety Town.

The longtime tradition of Safety Town has been going on this week out at Clemens Primary School (535 S. 19th St.) and it all wraps up this morning with the final activities and a graduation.

The Philomath Community Library (1050 Applegate St.) will host an Adults Craft & Coffee session from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The planned activity involves creating a collage with Gesso, ephemera, stencils, paints, pens and so on. Ages 16 on up are welcome to join in.

Out at the rodeo grounds (502 S. 13th St.), the annual Northwest Youth Rodeo Association finals are set to begin with action all day long in the Frolic & Rodeo arena. The rodeo continues Saturday and Sunday with a schedule that gets started each day at 8 a.m.
