The Philomath Lions Club’s Giant Book, Movie and Music Sale continues today at the rodeo grounds (502 S. 13th St.) from noon to 6 p.m.
The Lions Club started the annual book sale 13 years ago and in the past has accounted for more than half of the organization’s fundraising for the year. Those in charge take quality seriously and doesn’t sell books unless they are in good condition. Proceeds from the sale are used for the club’s various endeavors, including college textbook scholarships that are awarded to Philomath High students each spring. The club has always stressed with its fundraisers that the money stays in town.
