TUESDAY, DEC. 4

WARRANT: Philomath Police cited Evan Seits, 34, of Philomath, on a warrant after contacting him at 9:53 a.m. at an address on the 200 block of Northwest 53rd Street.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5

METH: The Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ronald Justin Koetz, 38, of Alsea, on charges of methamphetamine possession and driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop on Highway 34 near Vernon Road, west of Alsea.

FRIDAY, DEC. 7

WARRANT: Philomath Police cited Kendall Seitzinger, 22, of Junction City, on a Corvallis Municipal Court warrant at 9:01 a.m. on the 1200 block of Main Street.

ILLEGAL FIREARM PURCHASE: Philomath Police responded to Philomath Gun Shop at 1 p.m. and cited Cal Chambers, 28, of Albany, for allegedly attempting to purchase a firearm. Chambers’ criminal background history prohibits him from legally possessing a gun.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Philomath Police were unable to locate anyone or anything suspicious after being dispatched at 6:51 p.m. to the 300 block of Adelaide Drive for a report of someone knocking on a resident’s door.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8

CAR PROWL: Philomath Police were dispatched at 8:55 p.m. to the 400 block of South 18th Street after a caller reported catching someone in the act of opening the door to the caller’s vehicle. The culprit got away. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

SUNDAY, DEC. 9

TWO-VEHICLE CRASH: The Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded at 10:50 a.m. to a crash on Highway 34 near Greasy Creek Road, about 4 miles southwest of Philomath. A motorist began passing a vehicle on the left but that vehicle slowed in order to turn left into a driveway. The collision resulted in both vehicles being towed, but no reported injuries.

THURSDAY, DEC. 13

HEROIN: Philomath Police arrested Tyler Boyce, 29, of Corvallis, on a charge of attempted delivery of heroin. The arrest took place at 7:23 p.m. at an address on the 1100 block of Timian Street in Corvallis.

SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH: No injuries, 7:50 p.m., Kings Valley Highway and Maxfield Creek Road.
