THURSDAY, DEC. 27

DISTURBANCE: Philomath Police responded at 7:30 p.m. to a report of a disturbance on the 200 block of South 13th Street. The officer investigated and determined that no crime had been committed.

SUNDAY, DEC. 30

WELFARE CHECK: Philomath Police responded at 12:36 a.m. to a welfare check on the 3000 block of Southwood Drive.

SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH: A motorist was injured when his vehicle hydroplaned, spun and struck a guardrail on Highway 34, about 12 miles southwest of Philomath. Philomath Fire & Rescue personnel responded at 10:57 a.m. and Benton County sheriff deputies responded at 11:15 a.m.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Someone drove over a mailbox, valued at $80-$100, on the 20000 block of Decker Road. The investigating deputy from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was able to narrow down the year and make and model of the offending vehicle based on part of a bumper and side mirror left at the scene.

MONDAY, DEC. 31

BURGLARY: Philomath Police took a report at 10:49 p.m. of a burglary that had reportedly occurred earlier in the evening on the 500 block of South 17th Street.

TUESDAY, JAN. 1

HURT ANIMAL: Philomath Police took a call at 9:44 a.m. about a wild turkey on the 300 block of North Eighth Street. The turkey had gotten caught in a fence and was attacked and severely injured by other turkeys.

FALSE ALARM: Philomath Police responded at 3:47 a.m. to an activated commercial burglar alarm on the 3000 block of West Hills Road. Officers were unable to locate anything suspicious.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2

WELFARE CHECK: A caller requested at 12:01 p.m. that Philomath Police perform a welfare check on an individual at 1140 Applegate St. The address is the Philomath Post Office, and the subject, a transient man, was not there.

FENDER BENDER: Philomath Police aided two parties in exchanging insurance information at 2:10 p.m. after the driver of a farm truck with a flatbed trailer backed into a parked vehicle in the Towne Pump parking lot.

DISTURBANCE: Philomath Police responded at 7:05 p.m. to a report of domestic violence occurring on the 2500 block of Newton Street. The responding officer interviewed both parties and determined that no crime had been committed.

THEFT: A Philomath resident reported to Philomath Police that fraudulent bank transactions occurred with the individual’s credit card in Albany.

THURSDAY, JAN. 3

FALSE ALARM: Philomath Police responded at 6:44 a.m. to an activated commercial burglar alarm on the 300 block of North 15th Street. Officers contacted a responsible party on scene and determined that the alarm activation was accidental.

MEDICAL: 3:16 a.m., 2200 block of Rosecrest Drive.

INJURY CRASH: 10:57 a.m., Highway 34, about 12 miles southwest of Philomath.

MEDICAL: 12:15 p.m., 300 block of North Ninth Street.

MONDAY, DEC. 31

MUTUAL AID: 8:46 p.m., on standby, Corvallis.

TUESDAY, JAN. 1

ILLEGAL BURN: 12:14 a.m., 400 block of South 13th Street.

PUBLIC ASSIST: 9:49 p.m., 200 block of South 13th Street.

THURSDAY, JAN. 3

MEDICAL: 3:01 p.m., 1700 block of Applegate Street.

FRIDAY, JAN. 4

MEDICAL: 5:50 a.m., 24000 block of Abbey Lane.
