SATURDAY, MAY 25

DUII: A Benton County sheriff deputy arrested Ever Diaz Garcia, 23, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants after a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. Diaz Garcia, whose city of residence was not listed, reportedly drove the wrong way down a one-way street at Main Street, west of North 19th Street.

THURSDAY, MAY 30

GAS LEAK: Philomath police responded at 12:11 p.m. to aid Philomath Fire & Rescue in evacuating houses on the 500 block of Canberra Drive in response to a gas leak nearby on Tasman Place.

FRIDAY, MAY 31

SUSPENDED LICENSE: A Philomath police officer arrested Kimberly I. Novak, 50, of Philomath, for driving with a suspended license after the officer pulled her over at 1:55 p.m. on the 400 block of South 18th Street.

RECKLESS DRIVING: Philomath police tracked down two motorists that witnesses had reported were driving recklessly at 7:49 p.m. in the area of 26th Street and Newton Street. They were given a warning.

METH: Philomath police arrested Jedidiah Othal Hardy Blair, 39, of Stockton, California, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine on the 6600 block of Southwest Philomath Boulevard. No further details were provided.

SATURDAY, JUNE 1

SHOOTING COMPLAINT: Philomath police took a report of several young males who regularly shoot airsoft guns and BB guns on the 2500 block of Newton Street.

ILLEGAL FIREARM PURCHASE: Philomath police arrested Anthony James Newport, 54, after he allegedly attempted to purchase a firearm at Philomath Gun Shop. Newport, whose city of residence was not listed, is prohibited from owning firearms.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2

DOGS-AT-LARGE: Philomath police reported that three dogs that escaped from their home on the 100 block of North 19th Street were returned at 4:13 p.m.

TRESPASSING: Philomath police responded at 10:06 p.m. to a report of someone trespassing on property on the 2500 block of Newton Street. After interviewing the involved parties, the officer determined there was not enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime.

ASSAULT: Philomath police arrested Reid Matthew Clark, 23, of Philomath, on a charge of fourth-degree assault. No further details were provided except that the arrest took place near 24th Street and Newton Street.

MONDAY, JUNE 3

WARRANTS: Philomath police arrested Donald Lee Resue, 25, and Kristina Kay Haff, 42 — both transients — on warrants after speaking with them at 1:49 a.m. behind the museum. Resue had a Corvallis Municipal warrant for failing to appear on an original charge of violent conduct. Benton County Circuit Court issued a warrant for Haff for failing to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge.

CAR PROWL: Philomath police responded at 9:44 p.m. to the 2300 block of Main Street for a report that a thief was going through a toolbox that was attached to a truck bed. The officer patrolled the area and didn’t find anything suspicious.

TUESDAY, JUNE 4

FOUND PROPERTY: The Benton County Historical Society turned in a pellet pistol to the Philomath Police Department that members found while cleaning up abandoned property.

THURSDAY, JUNE 6

IMPROPER USE OF 911: Philomath police arrested Joseph Shelby Sielaff, 45, of Philomath, on a charge of improper use of 911. No further details were provided.

SMALL FIRE: Controlled burn that spread into a drainage ditch due to wind gusts, 2:57 p.m., 32000 block of Fern Road.

MONDAY, JUNE 3

CAR FIRE: Confined to the engine compartment, 9:52 a.m., 1900 block of Main Street.

MEDICAL: 12:15 p.m., 200 block of South 13th Street.

MEDICAL: 7:10 p.m., 23900 block of Ervin Road.

MEDICAL: 11:11 p.m., 1500 block of Applegate Street.

TUESDAY, JUNE 4

MEDICAL: 5:27 a.m., 35000 block of Kings Valley Highway.

THURSDAY, JUNE 6

BARN FIRE (AGENCY ASSIST): 7:32 p.m., 25000 Alpine Road, Monroe.
