FRIDAY, OCT. 18

TWO-VEHICLE CRASH: Benton County sheriff deputies were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. to a crash at Highway 20 and Priest Road. Two vehicles were traveling east on Highway 20, according to the report, and the back vehicle rear-ended the front vehicle as it slowed to turn left onto Priest Road. No one was injured.

MONDAY, OCT. 21

WARRANT: A Benton County sheriff deputy pulled over and arrested 36-year-old Jeremie Helfrich at 2 a.m. on the 33600 block of Marys River Estates Road and Highway 20. Helfrich, whose city of residence was not listed, had a Lane County Circuit Court warrant.

TUESDAY, OCT. 22

WARRANT: A Benton County sheriff deputy cited and released Sarah Jacks, 40, of Albany, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation. The interaction took place near the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 34, just west of Philomath.

FRIDAY, OCT. 25

THEFT: Philomath police took a report of theft in the 1000 block of Applegate Street. No other details were provided.

SATURDAY, OCT. 26

NARCOTICS: Philomath police took a report on a narcotics offense in the 1900 block of Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis. No other details were provided.

ARGUMENT: Philomath police responded at 3:42 p.m. to the 400 block of South 18th Street for a report of a disturbance. The situation involved threats and no physical altercation took place. The individuals were temporarily separated.

TUESDAY, OCT. 29

THREATS: Philomath police responded at 2:41 p.m. to the 1000 block of Applegate Street for a report of a man making threats toward a family member to a bank teller.

THURSDAY, OCT. 31

FRAUD: Philomath police took a fraud complaint from an individual who responded to a Craigslist ad for a rental house in Corvallis, filled out an application and sent it via email. The ad turned out to be a scam with the residence not for rent.

POSSIBLE DUI: Philomath police took a report at 7:58 p.m. of a possible DUI in the 100 block of South Eighth Street. No other information was provided.

WARRANT: Philomath police arrested William Chester Baker, 33, city of residence not reported, on a warrant for felony assault. The interaction took place at 11:22 p.m. in the 1800 block of Main Street.
