MONDAY, JULY 22
DRUGS: A Benton County sheriff deputy cited and released Zachary Tyler, 40, of Albany, on charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of controlled substances following a traffic stop at 9:15 a.m. on Highway 20, about 1 miles east of Blodgett. Tyler also had a warrant for failing to appear at Philomath Municipal Court. Tyler was issued citations and told to have a friend drive his car.
TUESDAY, JULY 23
CAR PROWL: A vehicle was broken into on the 34000 block of Hawk Hill Road, about 3 miles west of Philomath, sometime between 4 p.m. on July 22 and 8:30 a.m. on July 23. The victim reported to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that the culprit took off with a $200 pair of sunglasses, prescription medication and other miscellaneous items.
FRIDAY, JULY 26
SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH: The Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded at 9:06 a.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the area of Highway 20 and Woods Creek Road, about 2 miles west of Philomath. The driver was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. No further information was provided.
SUNDAY, JULY 28
DUII: A Benton County sheriff deputy arrested Erik Diaz, 23, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop at 3:15 a.m. at Philomath Boulevard and 71st Street, just east of Philomath. Diaz, whose city of residence was not provided, failed field-sobriety tests, and his blood alcohol content reportedly measured 0.14 percent.
MONDAY, JULY 29
INVALID ID: Toby Gray Greer, 42, of Corvallis, was cited and released for allegedly providing a Benton County sheriff deputy with an invalid driver’s license following a traffic stop on Highway 20, about 6 miles west of Philomath.
TUESDAY, JULY 30
SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH: A Benton County sheriff deputy responded at 9:21 p.m. to investigate a single-vehicle crash on Marys Peak Road near milepost 8. No occupants were at the scene and the vehicle was in the ditch with the airbags deployed. Based on the damage, the deputy believed it was unlikely anyone was hurt in the crash. The deputy put caution tape on the vehicle and left a business card with a case number.
VANDALISM: A woman reported to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that someone destroyed the shrubs at the entrance of her driveway on the 24000 block of Evergreen Road, southwest of Philomath. She reported that there were tire marks leading from her driveway to the shrubs. She estimated there was about $30 in damage.
SATURDAY, AUG. 3
INJURY CRASH: Benton County sheriff deputies were dispatched at 6:10 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34, about 4 miles west of Philomath. A vehicle traveling west crossed the eastbound lane, left the road, struck and broke two trees, then came to rest on its driver’s side. The driver, 39-year-old Robert Smith, told deputies he believed he fell asleep while driving but was unable to recall the events. Smith, whose city of residence was not provided, was treated by medics and issued arrest citations for reckless driving and a felony charge of driving with a revoked license.
DUII: Philomath police cited and released Michael Dennis Moore, 49, of Philomath, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) following a traffic stop about 2 miles down Old Peak Road.
SUNDAY, AUG. 4
WARRANT: Philomath police cited and released Shonna Marie Reed, 35, of Corvallis, at the Sunset Shopping Center at 5270 Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis for a warrant for failing to appear at Philomath Municipal Court.
TUESDAY, AUG. 6
WARRANT: Philomath police cited and released Brent Thomas Nasset, 27, of Salem, on a warrant for failing to appear in court. The interaction took place on the 6900 block of Southwest Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis.
THURSDAY, AUG. 8
WARRANT: Philomath police arrested Elijah Whitney Williams, 36, of Philomath on the 1500 block of College Street on a warrant for failing to appear in court for charges of reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct, as well as an alleged probation violation of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
FRIDAY, AUG. 9
DUII: Philomath police cited and released Stephen Craig Ohm, 68, no fixed address, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Noon Road.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Philomath police arrested Jeffrey William Appelt, 31, of Philomath, on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and for allegedly violating the terms of his probation. The arrest took place on the 200 block of South 13th Street.
