The Benton County Historical Society, Summit Community Center, Wren Community Club and the Arc of Benton County were among the 12 recipients of Benton County Cultural Coalition grants.

The coalition awards the grants each year from Oregon Cultural Trust funds to Benton County nonprofit organizations that promote art, preservation of history, and local heritage and culture.

Wren Community Club received $1,680 for lighting improvements for Wren Community Hall. Summit Community Center received $1,400 to update the building's bathroom.

The Benton County Historical Society received $1,250 for its annual Family Day at the Museum event in Philomath. The Arc of Benton County received $1,300 for its Babel Drum for a sensory garden at its Philomath site.

Funds for the awards are provided by sales of Oregon Cultural Trust license plates and donations to the trust.
