Philomath’s doubles teams highlighted a trip to Portland Saturday for a boys tournament at Oregon Episcopal School.

The No. 1 doubles team of Luke Haslam and Nick Stucki took first place with a 3-0 record. Haslam and Stucki didn’t give up a set in wins over Hood River Valley, Beaverton and OES opponents.

The doubles team of Bryce Beeton and Nathaniel Workman won the No. 1 division’s consolation bracket. After losing to an OES opponent in their opener, Beeton and Workman came back to win their next two matches.

In singles’ action, Colton Beckstead won his first match before falling to the champion, Vaughn Reardon of Hood River Valley. Noah Aynes took the No. 3 division’s consolation final with a win over teammate Filip Sohus Furuseth.

The Warriors are scheduled to get back into league play Tuesday with a trip to Woodburn.
