Stayton remained unbeaten in the Oregon West Conference Tuesday night with a 61-48 boys basketball win over Philomath.

The Warriors trailed by four after the first quarter but fell into an 11-point hole by halftime. Stayton maintained its advantage in the second half to end up taking the victory by 13.

Michael Lundy scored a team-high 14 points on five field goals, two of those 3-pointers, and 2 of 5 free throws. Marshall Brattain scored 13 points on six field goals and a free throw.

For Stayton (14-3 overall, 7-0 Oregon West), senior Riley Nichol led with 19 points, senior Kaleb Anundi scored 15 and junior Logan Classen had 12.

Philomath (10-8, 2-5) plays Friday at home with the late tip-off against Sweet Home.
