PHS girls soccer: Alivia Pittman

The Philomath High School girls soccer team posted a 4-0 shutout Thursday on the road in an Oregon West Conference victory over Sisters.

Sophomore Alivia Pittman was in on all four goals with a hat trick — three goals — and one assist.

The Warriors didn’t take long to own this game with three goals in the first 23 minutes.

Pittman scored with an assist to Madison Rogers in the 10th minute. Pittman scored again in the 14th minute, this time with an assist to sophomore Braedyn McNeely. In the 23rd minute, sophomore Kaili Saathoff scored with an assist to Pittman.

In the second half, Pittman scored her third goal with an assist to sophomore Atira Fairbanks.

Coach Mat Phelps said the team played well, staying composed and controlled throughout the game.

Philomath goes to 4-2 overall, 3-1 in the Oregon West and will not take the field again until Thursday at Newport.
