The Philomath High School volleyball team dropped to 2-2 in the Oregon West Conference Thursday night with a three-set loss on the road. Sisters took the victory, 26-24, 25-18, 25-18.

The Warriors came into the match after sweeping Cascade earlier in the week. Philomath is sitting in third place at 2-2 in the Oregon West standings — actually tied with Stayton, but the Warriors defeated the Eagles earlier this season in straight sets.

Philomath’s lone league losses have come against the top two teams in the standings. Sisters and Sweet Home are a combined 7-0 in the conference.

The Warriors (5-3 overall) are scheduled to compete Saturday in a tournament at Dallas before making up a match Monday at home against Class 5A Crescent Valley.
