Clemens Starck, an Oregon-based award-winning poet, will be reading from his works 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Harris Bridge Vineyard, 22937 Harris Road, Philomath.
Starck's first book of poems, "Journeyman’s Wages," received the 1996 Oregon Book Award, as well as the William Stafford Memorial Poetry Award from the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association.
His most recent book of poems, "Old Dogs, New Tricks," was published by Oblio Press in the spring of 2016. Starck will release a book of his life's work in November, "Cathedrals & Parking Lots," published by Empty Bowl Press.
He lives on 40 acres in the country outside of Dallas, in the mid-Willamette Valley.
People are encouraged to arrive early and can bring blankets or lawn chairs. Folding chairs will also be provided. Picnic lunches are OK.
