LIFE SELF-REDUCE-DRINKING TB (copy)

The guideline for moderate alcohol use is one drink a day for women of all ages and men older than 65, or two drinks a day for younger men. And, says Dr. Indra Cidambi, “one drink is one drink,” whether liquor, beer or wine.

The Rhapsody in the Vineyard Wine Walk, presented by the Downtown Corvallis Association, returns Saturday, March 10, from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

At the event, downtown Corvallis retailers host some of Oregon's premier wineries, distillers and a ciderhouse offering samples of their beverages and appetizers, along with live music and artwork by local artisans. Representatives from the wineries will be on hand.

Beginning at 2 p.m., participants can come by any of the glass outlets: Footwise, The Inkwell Home Store, Sibling Revelry, and The Toy Factory to purchase wristbands, neck slings, packets of 10 scrip, and souvenir Rhapsody in the Vineyard-logo wine glasses. Government-issued IDs will be required for proof of age. Participants can buy wristbands only for themselves.

Entry fee is $5 and includes a souvenir Rhapsody in the Vineyard-logo wine glass and required wristband. For hands-free wine tasting, a wine glass neck sling is $5. A packet of 10 scrip (optional) is $15 to pay for wine samples.
