The Arioso Chamber Players will be joined by Salem's Silverwind String Quartet this weekend for a pair of mid-valley concerts by candlelight.
The concerts are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church, 1115 28th Ave. SW in Albany; and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13 at the First Christian Church, 602 SW Madison Ave., Corvallis.
The chamber players — oboist Jaclyn LaRue, cellist Tommy Leinonen and pianist Joy Ueng — hope the candlelight concerts become an annual event.
The program includes Telemann's Trio in A Major for violin, oboe d'amore, and continuo; Respighi's Ancient Aires and Dances, arranged for string quartet; Vivaldi's Concerto in g minor RV812 for oboe, cello, and strings; Mozart's Piano Trio KV548; and Albinoni's Famous Adagio, arranged by Leinonen for solo oboe, solo cello, string quartet, and piano.
The members of the Silverwind String Quartet are Stephanie Barth, violin; Andrew Fishbacher, violin; Paul Schmidt, viola; and Rand Baker, cello.
Tickets are available at the door and cost $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (65 and older). Youths 12 and under get in for free.
