The Sundays@3 Concert Series at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 333 NW 35th St. in Corvallis, will host a musical instrument and performance clothing exchange after this season’s first concert, set for Sunday.

This is an opportunity to donate string or band instruments for school students, and to sell or exchange instruments.

As young musicians grow, they outgrow instruments and performance clothing. It can be prohibitive for parents to replace these items every year. The exchange is designed to help parents and students find items for another school year of music-making.

Instruments, clothes, music stands, chin rests, instrument straps, rosin, method books or anything else that could be useful for a music student will be accepted. Any item contributed to the exchange will be used in Willamette Valley music programs.

The afternoon will begin with a concert by the Flatt Stanley Incident folk trio from Philomath, followed by an ice cream social and the instrument exchange.

Donations can be dropped off at the church during office hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday), at which time the donor will receive a donation slip for tax purposes.
