Mid-Valley Women of Christ will host a Valley-Wide Night of Praise and Worship at 7 p.m. Thursday at Life Community Church, 4900 NW Highway 99 in Corvallis.
The special guest at Thursday’s service will be speaker Kim Meeder. Best known for her book “Hope Rising,” Meeder chronicles a troubled childhood, being orphaned at age 9, and her journey of finding Jesus Christ as her healer, savior and friend. Meeder and her husband, Troy, co-founded Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, a ministry that rescues mistreated horses and pairs them with hurting children, encouraging all toward the healing hope of Christ.
Meeder has written four other books, “A Bridge Called Hope,” “Blind Hope,” “Fierce Beauty” and “Experiencing Our Wild God.” Serving as chief communications officer, she provides critical communication and leadership through her speaking ministry and in every aspect of Crystal Peaks. She speaks at conferences, churches, universities, similar ministries and other venues.
These periodic praise events sometimes draw more than 800 women statewide as the ministry concludes 53 classes of community Bible studies held in 23 cities.
The praise gathering worship will be led by Albany-based Ashra Liles and the Hope Church praise team. The event is open to all women. Donations will be accepted during a free-will offering. Women are encouraged to arrive early.
