Since performing a memorable duet at the 2001 Grammys, rapper Eminem and singer-songwriter Elton John have stayed in touch, with the controversial MC even reaching out to John while battling his drug addiction. "Me and him have had similar lives and stuff," Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) told Detroit's Metro Times. "So I reached out to him and told him, 'Look, I'm going through a problem, and I need your advice.'" John told Rolling Stone: "I love him. I don't see much of Marshall, but we speak a lot. He's really worked very hard at (sobriety), and it's changed him so much." The rapper, who's previously been accused of homophobic lyrics, sent John and his partner a wedding present after their civil union.
