2 Towns gets expansion OK from Corvallis council

The 2 Towns ciderhouse is planning a $1 million expansion and hopes to occupy 15,000 square feet of space in the Corvallis Airport Industrial Park.

The company, whose main facility is off of Highway just east of Corvallis in Linn County, applied for enterprise zone status, which would exempt the company from property taxes on improvements and equipment for up to five years.

The Corvallis City Council voted 7-1 on Nov. 4 to approve the enterprise zone request.

Ward 5 Councilor Mike Beilstein cast the dissenting voice, saying “it does not benefit the city and county to pay business to be here.” Other councilors commended 2 Towns for its success and for staying in the community.
