Local high school students participating in annual pageants raised nearly $195,000 for charity this school year.

The pageant season concluded April 25, Corvallis High School’s Mr. and Ms. Spartan pageant’s final event, at which organizers announced that the pageant contestants had raised $123,903 for its charities, the Mario Pastega House, the Samaritan Regional Cancer Center, Seeds for the Sol and the Grace Center For Adult Day Services.

Ben Isler and Rachelle Locey were announced as the event’s winners.

Philomath High School’s Mr. and Ms. PHS concluded April 18, with the announcement that the contestants had raised $12,269 for Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland and Project H.E.R., a comprehensive breast health-services program for women in Benton, Linn and Lincoln counties.

Jack Lehman and Dani Gerding were named Mr. and Ms. PHS in the event.

Crescent Valley High School’s Mr. and Ms. CV raised $58,772, a figure announced at the pageant’s final event April 11. The funds go to Jackson Street Youth Shelter, Old Mill Center for Children and Families, and the Children's Miracle Network.

Levi Atkinson and Adrienne Johnson were named the winners of the Mr. and Ms. CV pageant.
