Corvallis police are seeking to identify a man they say robbed a clerk at Walmart Neighborhood Market on Saturday.

Officers responded about 8:50 a.m. to the store at 1840 NW Ninth St.

Police say the suspect walked into the store and approached a cashier at a cash register. The man handed the employee a note demanding the cash in the register. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash from the employee and left on foot westbound from the store.

The suspect was wearing gloves and a mask over his face at the time of the robbery. He did not display a weapon, and no one was hurt.

Police say the suspect was wearing a gray flannel style jacket, black stocking cap, mask and jeans and had a backpack. Officers canvassed the area and interviewed witnesses but were unable to identify or locate the suspect.

Anyone with information related to the identity of the suspect is asked to call Officer Trenton Davis at 541-766-6924.
