The Lebanon Police Department arrested a man suspected of multiple sex crimes on Tuesday night.

Steven Dwayne Maddox, 48, of Lebanon, was arraigned in Linn County Circuit Court on Wednesday afternoon on charges of two counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree sex abuse and one count of second-degree sex abuse.

Judge Michael Wynhausen noted that Maddox had no criminal history in setting his bail at $150,000.

"These are extremely serious offenses that are alleged to have occurred continuously over a period of years," Wynhausen said.

The alleged victim is a male known to Maddox who was between the ages of 10 and 18 when the crimes occurred, according to a Lebanon Police Department news release.

According to the charging document, the crimes occurred between 2012 and 2016.

At this time, authorities are not aware of any other victims connected to the case.

Maddox's next court hearing was set for Nov. 25.
