Center thanks foundation for funds
Old Mill Center for Children and Families would like to thank the Corvallis Kiwanis Foundation for grant funds to purchase additional therapy tools.
With this support we will be able to acquire a new sand tray table, sand tray starter kit and art supplies, all of which are integral to the therapeutic treatment process.
Those suffering from the impact of trauma often have a hard time verbally expressing thoughts, feelings and emotions. Sand tray tables facilitate nonverbal expression of internal conflicts and struggles through play. Currently seven clinicians share two sand tray tables. New art supplies will allow us to meet the needs of our increasing client base. Thank you, Corvallis Kiwanis Foundation, for your generous assistance to allow us to better serve children and families suffering from trauma.

Literacy center grateful for support
The Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center wishes to send a special thank-you to the following organizations for their support at the start of 2019:
The Benton County Cultural Coalition, for awarding grant funds to help hold various cultural events in different neighborhoods around the community; Fred Meyer, which kindly donated us money raised through its Community Rewards Program; and members of the Altrusa Club of Corvallis for providing funds for us to print materials for material for our Citizenship Program. Thank you so much!

'Gentleman' paid for our dinner
To the young man who on Dec. 14 paid for our meal at The Point:
He said it was to celebrate our 61st anniversary.
We did not get his name, but we will be forever grateful.
His mother raised a gentleman.
