A healthy, "hearty" start for young families took on a Valentine's Day theme on Thursday at the Old Mill Center for Families and Children. Participating parents and their children made heart-shaped photo frames, decorated them and placed family photos inside during an afternoon event at the center, located at 4515 Country Club Drive. The event was part of the Healthy Start program for first-time parents of children ages newborn to 3. A few times a year, Old Mill hosts such gatherings to enable participating parents and their children a chance to socialize, according to Medora Tuck Stevens, the Healthy Start coordinator at Old Mill.
