Dan Larson

Dan Larson is the new vice provost for student affairs at Oregon State University.

Dan Larson has been named vice provost for student affairs at Oregon State University after filling the position in an interim capacity since September 2017, the university announced on Monday.

As vice provost for student affairs, Larson oversees an organization with about 650 employees and an annual budget of $130 million.

Areas of responsibility include residential life, counseling and health services, the student union, dining services, recreational sports, student leadership and involvement programs, and career development services, among others.

Before becoming interim vice provost, Larson served as associate vice provost and interim dean of student life and as executive director of University Housing and Dining Services.

Larson has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Oregon State College (now Western Oregon University) and a master’s in college student services and administration from OSU.
