Fourteen restaurants in the Corvallis and Philomath area are participating in the ninth annual "Local Eats Week," which runs from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6.
Participating restaurants will offer a sample plate, priced at $10 or less, featuring products grown, produced and processed by farms and businesses from the "Local 6" counties: Benton, Linn, Lincoln, Lane, Marion and Polk.
Participating restaurants are: Bellhop, Block 15, Bombs Away Café, Castor, Caves Bier & Kitchen, The Dizzy Hen, Downward Dog Café, First Alternative Co-op, Laughing Planet, Nearly Normal’s, New Morning Bakery, Sky High, Taco Vino, and White Wind Superfoods.
Local Eats Week is organized by the Local 6 Connection, a campaign that encourages local restaurants to source more of their ingredients from the area.
The week is sponsored by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition’s Food Action Team. For details and to see daily updates on Local Eats Week offerings, visit www.sustainablecorvallis.org.
