Charlotte Frances Ross, 86, of Lebanon, died Sunday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
Charlotte was born September 11, 1932, in Escondido, California, the daughter of Omie and Hattie (Ring) Herrington. Charlotte resided in the San Diego area until moving to Columbiaville, Michigan, in 1951, where she graduated from high school. Charlotte went on to graduate from nursing school in 1961 in Flint, Michigan.
Charlotte married Virgil J. Ross on October 14, 1961, in Flint, Michigan. The couple later moved to Liberal, Kansas before moving to Albany in 1965, where Charlotte worked as a nurse.
In 1970, they moved to their Lebanon home, where Charlotte resided the next 44 years until Virgil preceded her in death in 2014.
Charlotte was a member of the Lebanon First United Methodist Church. She was active the UMW group and was known for her plastic needle point.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Ross of Lincoln City, Robert Ross of Albany, and Virgil Ross of Riverside, California; stepsister, Glenda; four grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, at the Lebanon First United Methodist Church.
