The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will hold a retreat on Wednesday, Oct. 24, to discuss trends in higher education and Oregon State’s efforts to serve more learners.

The retreat will run from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Food Innovation Center, 1207 NW Naito Parkway in Portland. Participation will be limited to invited guests but members of the public may attend.

Board committees will meet on Thursday, Oct. 25, in the OSU-Portland Center, Room 2002, located at 555 SW Morrison St. in Portland. These meetings are also open to the public:

• The Executive & Audit Committee will meet from 8 to 9:15 a.m.  

• The Finance & Administration Committee will meet from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

• The Academic Strategies Committee will meet from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

The full board will meet on Friday, Oct. 26, in OSU-Portland Center, Room 2002.

This meeting is open to the public and will run from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The board will consider action items recommended by committees, as well as the board’s 2019 work plan and the university strategic plan for the next five years. 

A public comment period is provided at each regular board meeting. Commenters may register by email before the meeting by contacting Lauren Skousen at lauren.skousen@oregonstate.edu or may register at the meeting to provide comment. There is also a public comment opportunity before the board votes on each action item listed on the board agenda.

The public can listen to committee and board meetings by calling the toll-free number listed on the agendas. On Friday, Oct. 26, there will be an additional public listening and comment location at the Allworth Room of the Memorial Union, 1500 SW Jefferson Way in Corvallis.
