Gonzaga honors Corvallis students
Cora Kim, Nathan Remcho and Haley Wilson, all of Corvallis, earned placement on the Gonzaga University fall semester president’s list.
Students must earn a 3.85 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.
Corvallis resident enrolls in Carleton
Celine Smith of Corvallis has enrolled at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, as a member of the Class of 2022.
The 532 students in the Carleton Class of 2022 were selected from a pool of 7,095 applicants. The incoming students represent 48 states and 24 countries (12 percent are international residents), with 83 students coming from Minnesota, followed by California (61), Illinois (42), New York (35), Washington (24) and Texas (23). Twenty-seven students hail from China.
Linn County students named to dean’s list
Several Linn County students have been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Pacific University.
Appearing on the list are Kailey Frazier of Albany, Elizabeth Hesser of Lebanon, and Brianna Marquez of Sweet Home.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must achieve a term grade-point average of at least 3.70 and complete 12 or more graded hours.
Albany man earns spot on dean’s list
Diego Ramos, a finance major from Albany, was named to the fall semester Culver-Stockton College dean’s list for academic achievement.
To be named to the list, the college in Canton, Missouri, requires students to have earned between a 3.5 and 3.99 grade-point average and while enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours, with no grade lower than a C.
Corvallis woman graduates from MSU
Heidi Anderson of Corvallis was among the 761 Montana State University undergraduates who received diplomas during MSU’s 2018 fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 15 in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Albany student earns distinction
Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 3,000 students who were on the university's fall 2018 dean’s honor roll.
Brandon J. Cowling of Albany is included on the list.
To be included on the honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
