FRIDAY, JAN. 5
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: 10:33 a.m., 3600 block of Southwest Deon Drive, Corvallis. Police arrested Shahin Ali Templin, 26, for second-degree kidnapping, strangulation, attempted second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and reckless endangering. A woman reported Templin had assaulted her at his apartment on Friday. She told police Templin pinned her to the ground and choked her. She said another assault had occurred the day before when Templin locked her in a bedroom and pinned her down. She told police that in an incident in October, Templin dragged her from the apartment and slammed her head with the apartment door. Templin was booked into the Benton County Jail.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: 4:43 p.m., Northwest Ninth Street and Northwest Spruce Avenue, Corvallis. A tractor trailer rig reportedly mowed down the city street sign and the stop sign attached to it. Police stopped the driver, who was unaware she had caused damage to the street sign. A Public Works employee fixed the sign.
CAR EGGING: 9:57 p.m., 1900 block of Southwest Third Street, Corvallis. A man reported he had been driving south on Third Street when someone hit his car with an egg. Police were unable to find the suspect.
DUII: 9:53 p.m., Northwest Harrison Boulevard and Northwest Eighth Street, Corvallis. Police stopped a car and arrested the driver, Kimberly Lynn Holly, 50, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Holly reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 percent. She was released to a sober driver.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 6
BURGLARY: 9:28 p.m., 600 block of Northwest 21st Street, Corvallis. Police responded to a burglary complaint and discovered someone took the screen off a front window and attempted to gain entry but was unsuccessful.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 7
DUII: 8:45 p.m., Southwest C Avenue and Southwest Fourth Street, Corvallis. Police stopped a car and arrested the driver, Abdullah Saad Alotaibi, 24, of Independence, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Alotaibi reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana in the car about an hour earlier. A drug recognition expert reportedly determined Alotaibi was impaired by cannabis.

SUNDAY, JAN. 7
FUGITIVE ARREST: 10:49 p.m., Highway 34 and Henkle Way, Philomath. A deputy stopped a car for driving without required lighting. The deputy confirmed the driver, Virgil Alexander Powell, 24, of Monmouth, had a warrant from Linn County for contempt of court on a third-degree sexual abuse charge. The deputy arrested Powell and took him to the Linn County Jail.

MONDAY, JAN. 1
DUII: 12:56 a.m., Third Street and Western Boulevard, Corvallis. A trooper stopped a car for allegedly speeding and arrested the driver, Daniel M. Honnies, 24, of Corvallis, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Honnies reportedly refused to provide a breath sample.
