Labor Day Closures (Sept. 4)

Monday is Labor Day. Here is a list of holiday schedules and closures:

Banks, credit unions: All will be closed Monday.

Buses: Albany Transit System, Call-A-Ride, the Linn-Benton Loop, Transit System, the Corvallis-Albany Connection, Dial-a-Bus, the Linn Shuttle, the Philomath Connection and the 99 Express will not run Monday.

Government: State government agencies will be closed Monday; federal offices of the Siuslaw National Forest and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also will be closed. Benton County, city of Corvallis and city of Philomath offices will be closed Monday. The sheriff’s offices will continue patrols, as will police departments.

Linn-Benton Community College: The college will be closed Monday.

Liquor stores: The Santiam Liquor Store in Albany will be open regular hours all weekend. The Cork & Bottle Shoppes in Albany and Corvallis will be open regular hours all weekend. The Washington Street Liquor Store in Corvallis will be open regular hours all weekend. The Lebanon Liquor Store will be open regular hours all weekend. The Philomath Liquor Store will be closed Sunday and Monday. The Sweet Home Liquor Store will be closed Monday.

Oregon State University: The university will be closed Monday.

Postal service: U.S. post offices will be closed Monday, and no deliveries will be made until Tuesday.

Public libraries: Libraries remain closed.

Public schools: Schools are closed.

Senior centers: The Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon senior centers remain closed.

Trash and recycling pickup: Contact your local trash service for holiday schedules.
