Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating emancipation of enslaved African Americans, is observed Monday, June 20. Here is a list of schedules and closures for the weekend:
Banks, credit unions: Many will be closed Monday.
Buses: Most public transit will operate Monday.
Government: State government agencies, county governments and city governments will be closed Monday. The sheriff’s offices will continue patrols, as will police departments.
Linn-Benton Community College: The college will be closed Monday.
Liquor stores: Most liquor stores will be open all weekend and Monday. The Sweet Home Liquor Store will close at 3 p.m. Monday.
Oregon State University: The university recognized the holiday on Friday, June 17.
Postal service: U.S. post offices will be closed Monday, and no deliveries will be made till Tuesday.
