Spiked drink? — 1:24 a.m. Saturday, 1400 block of 13th Avenue. reported that he left his soda can unattended and someone spiked it, causing him to have medical issues. Medics transported the caller to get assistance.
Cans theft — 11:52 a.m. Saturday, Sweet Home High School. A caller reported that someone stole two large bags of cans that were collected as a fundraiser for the annual Senior Alcohol Free Entertainment program. Justin Lee Walker, 31, was charged with third-degree theft, trespassed from the high school and the cans were returned.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Crash during pursuit — 9:12 a.m. Sunday, 2300 block Mountain River Drive. A Lebanon police officer reported that his vehicle struck two unoccupied parked vehicles while he was in a pursuit.
Missing trailer — 3:44 p.m. Sunday, 200 block Depot Avenue. A caller reported that a 5-foot by 8-foot black steel mesh trailer was missing from the side yard of his residence.
DUII crash — 9:55 p.m. Sunday, 2600 block Old Holley Road. Cindylou Hyland was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. According to a deputy’s report, Hyland had left a bar in Sweet Home and crashed her van, rolling it on its side. There were no injuries, but Hyland had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent, or twice the legal limit.
Errant lambs — 3:25 a.m. Monday, 35000 block of Cyrus Road. Lambs were reported at large. A deputy spoke with the lambs about the dangers of venturing outside the field. The lambs ultimately agreed to return to their field and thanked the deputy for his time.
LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

Elude – Rondel Allen Adams, 28, of Sweet Home, was charged with felony attempt to elude (by vehicle), unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless driving and criminal driving while suspended or revoked. The crimes allegedly occurred on Sunday and the Lebanon Police Department was the investigating agency. In a second case, Adams was charged based on an amended district attorney’s information with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of failure to appear. In a third case, Adams was charged with possession of heroin. In a fourth case, Adams was charged based on an amended district attorney’s information with giving false information to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear.
Domestic assault – Nishan Singh, 58, of Lebanon, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). The crime allegedly occurred on Sunday, and the Lebanon Police Department was the investigating agency.
Failure to appear – Kenneth Lee Saylor, 32, of Lebanon, was charged based on an amended district attorney’s information with felony first-degree failure to appear, possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine.
Theft – Michael James Konkolis, 31, of Philomath, was charged with first-degree theft. The crime allegedly occurred on Dec. 26 and the victim was Treml’s jewelry. The Lebanon Police Department investigated the case. In a second case, Konkolis was charged with second-degree escape.
Theft – Caroline Regina Pearson, 27, of Sweet Home, was charged with first-degree theft and possession of methamphetamine. The theft occurred between August and September and the Sweet Home Police Department investigated the case. Pearson also was charged in a separate case, based on an amended district attorney’s information, with unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, attempted second-degree theft, criminal driving while suspended or revoked, possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear.
