    Thank you for writing special interest stories such as the one about Wreaths Across America on Aug. 25. It was a great exhibit in Albany and looking it up online is a great way to read about a great honor for our veterans.

      We know fall has arrived in Corvallis as the mornings are cooler and leaves are beginning to fall, mostly we notice the added traffic and bicyclists as the OSU students have arrived in full force.

        Section B of the Sept. 21 issue of the paper, labeled SPORTS, included 10 pages, four of which were about sports. More troubling to me, not one word on any of those 10 pages was written by or written about anyone or any thing living in or happening in Linn or Benton county.

        I know Christine Drazan is 100% anti-abortion. I know that she opposed meaningful gun regulations in the Oregon Legislature. I know that she joined the GOP senators’ walkout against cap-and-trade legislation that could have helped Oregon stave off the effects of climate change.

        In November, Oregonians will vote on Measure 111, which would make health care a constitutional right. I have written several letters showing that the collectivist backers of this measure are trying to tyrannically and illegitimately impose their will upon dissenters who want no part of their universal or single-payer health care system.
