The U.S. Navy believes the predicted impacts of climate change are real. According to Bloomberg News, as reported on page B11 of the Feb. 3 newspaper, the Navy is considering spending $20 million to protect the Washington Navy Yard from rising sea levels, and this is just one of the 19 Navy facilities across the United States identified as at-risk from sea-level rise.
