I unfolded my newspaper this morning (June 24) and almost lost my breakfast. How was printing the gory picture of a dismembered and disfigured elk hit by a car, then hacked into pieces, necessary for telling the story of Ms. Archell Banta? The picture adds nothing but a gruesomeness to her story. Was there no thought that children might view this picture? The Gazette Times should rethink what pictures it chooses to print on the front page and how those pictures might affect its readers.
