The NAACP recently linked a Portland earthquake sign requirement to white supremacy.
Is there no limit to baseless claims? Old buildings of masonry construction without modern steel lateral and horizontal bracing will likely not withstand earthquake shaking. This is fact. Masonry structures, beams, bridges all require steel to reinforcing. Building construction, old or new, has nothing to do with “white supremacy.” Old buildings did not have reinforcing. If someone wants to reside, purchase or use an older masonry building, beware of these facts. Upgrade, use the building in the current state at your own risk, demolish, build new or just quit making such ridiculous statements used in the article.
Really, what else can be blamed on any racial bias?
