I am writing to encourage the newspaper to continue running John Rosemond's column. Recent letters have complained that Rosemond is "repetitive." This is hardly unique among the paper's syndicated columnists. Rosemond's message is straightforward: that children need unconditional love combined with consistent, firm discipline; and that their natural narcissism should not be indulged, but rather that proper socialization is necessary so that they will behave in a way considerate to others.
Not too long ago, the the newspaper published an article on intervention programs in the public schools to correct disruptive behavior by students. If Rosemond is repetitive, it is because he needs to be.
