“I am tired of talk that comes to nothing.” These words were spoken by Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Indians in Washington, D.C. in 1879. Max Mania has chosen this sentiment to characterize his campaign for Benton County commissioner, and they are very fitting, indeed. Max aims to get things done, and the first step in that process is to show up.
I have come to know Max as a thoughtful, investigative, energetic, articulate, and ethical person who is doing more than just talk about things that need changing, protecting, improving, streamlining. He is showing up … at civic meetings, at town halls, at forums, at Saturday markets, at political efforts like voter registration, at community events, at the homes of interested neighbors and (dare I say?) at the gym. And now he is offering his passion, commitment, reason, and time to the people — all the people — of Benton County.
It only takes a peek at the Blog on Max’s website www.mania4benton.org to see who Max is and the scope of his interests, experiences and activities. Max has concrete ideas, not just talk, that can bring real, measurable movement forward for Benton County. I believe he is the best candidate for commissioner and I urge you to join me in voting for Max Mania in this important election.
