In Benton County, we have well-meaning elected officials who are excellent at identifying issues. However, solutions and progress that have meaningful impact in the community are slow to come about. We need leaders with the wisdom to speak up, the courage to stand up, and the focus and follow-through to manage our community’s problems. I think Max Mania is that leader; he’s the most progressive, proactive and passionate candidate in the race for Benton County commissioner.
My primary concern as a renter is the ever-rising cost of housing. I’m fortunate to work full-time at a job that pays more than minimum wage, but purchasing a home is out of reach for me as Corvallis’ housing market is out of control. I love Corvallis, but I am afraid I will not be able to live here at the rate it is going. That’s why we need concrete policies and proposals from our elected leaders; not just empty promises and no specific plan. Max understands what true, affordable housing is, and it is one of his top priorities. Learning about his platform, I know he’ll commit to finding real solutions to our housing crisis and will not back down.
Young people, like me, deserve a representative who is focused on their future. We need change now. That’s why I’m voting for Max Mania for Benton County commissioner and I hope you’ll join me in supporting his campaign. To learn more, please visit mania4benton.org.
