The Sunday, June 2 Health page had a good article (page B12) with help for supporting children with OCD by Harvard Health. The article provided solid credible advice. In particular, it noted that it is very important to find a therapist who is specifically trained in ERP to help with the condition. The International OCD Foundation was named as a good source of finding therapists. I am on the board of the foundation, based in Boston. I have been impressed with the efforts and outreach of the foundation. I recommend it as a great source for information about OCD.

The foundation website (iocdf.org) provides a solid overview, has links to blogs and other sites, and provides community for families struggling with this disorder. It has an excellent annual conference that builds a national community of support. In addition, there is a local affiliate (ocdoregon.org) that has local activities. Check out both websites for more help.
