President Trump admires Vladimir Putin, the authoritarian ruler who has had scores of journalists and political dissents either poisoned, assassinated, thrown off buildings or imprisoned.
President Trump praises Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, a sexual abuser, who condones the blatant murder of thousands of “suspected” criminals, including several journalists who oppose his presidency.
President Trump continues to hold the Saudi government unaccountable for the brutal murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, even though all investigative intelligence indicates otherwise.
President Trump has bragged about the “love letters” he has received from his great friend, the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, a brutal dictator who had his own brother-in-law executed by an anti-aircraft gun and continues to imprison thousands in slave labor camps.
These are just some of the people who are on Trump’s most admired foreign leaders list. What they all have in common is the assassinations of journalists, (the so-called, “enemies of the people,”) political dissents and those who openly challenge the authoritarian rule of their country.
President Trump has openly stated that he admired the Chinese one-party system and wished for the possibility for him to be a “ruler for life.”
So today, this is our America, represented by Donald Trump, who publicly praises the murderous authoritarian despots listed above.
Hopefully by 2020, perhaps even earlier, America will once again become a beacon of light, guiding the rest of the free world with better moral leadership from a new president of the United States.
