Three scenarios:

1. A man is walking down a sidewalk in America with his 6-year old son, holding his hand. He jaywalks and is met on the other side by a policeman. Neither he nor his son has a criminal record.

2. A man is walking down a sidewalk in America with his 6-year old son, holding his hand. He sees a riot ahead. Stores have been broken into and there is looting. One of the stores is a gun store. He goes inside with his son and fills his pockets with guns. He grabs one more gun and shoves it into the pocket of his son. Over the next few weeks police study surveillance videos in an attempt to identify the looters. The father and son are identified and the butt of the gun in the son's pocket is visible. There is a knock on the father's door and when he opens it there are two policemen. Neither he nor his son has a criminal record.

3. A man is walking in a field in Mexico with his 6- year old son, holding his hand. He crosses the border into the USA. He lives and works in America for 20 years. There is a knock on the father's door and when he opens it there are two ICE officers. Neither he nor his son has a criminal record.

How would you adjudge each of these scenarios?
