Good morning: I see the new council is being sworn in. It has a lot of work ahead of them:

1. This morning I rode the bus and there is a posted sign basically telling bus patrons catching the bus at night to wait at the bus stop, wear reflective clothing, and use a flashlight or cellphone light to alert the bus driver to your presence at the stop. Come on Corvallis, don't make people wait in the dark and be the ones responsible for flagging down the bus. Can't you put a light of some sort at each stop? Lighting will also help reduce the strain on the bus driver to see people.

2. The plastic grocery bag ban helps with plastic pollution but what about the people still using large plastic bags to carry their refuse to the dumpsters. Then there is all the plastic that our food comes wrapped in as well as the plastics now refused by our landfill.

Hopefully the City Council will come up with answers.
